Day Two - Monday 31st October

Arise after a good nights sleep to a hearty Cornish Breakfast to set you up for a days ghost hunting. Today we visit St Nectans Glen and Rocky Valley Falls. This has been called one of the most beautiful corners of North Cornwall and has a strange and indescribable air of unreality. Here people have heard the sound of chanting monks, some have heard the sounds of sobbing and weird laughter and organ music has been heard emanating from an empty building. The ghost of St Nectan who, after being decapitated, is credited with picking up his head, is claimed to have been seen in the glen.
We lunch in a local inn where you can taste a Cornish speciality “Cornish Pasty”  and in the afternoon we head for Roughtor on Bodmin Moor where the ghost of Charlotte Dymond, a Cornish girl murdered by her jealous lover, has been seen.
We return to our accommodation where we relax over a drink before dinner and further tales of the supernatural.

Day Three - Tuesday 1st November

After another good nights sleep and a Cornish Breakfast  we visit 200 year old Bodmin Gaol which is haunted by the sounds of rattling keys and heavy footsteps, by unexplained voices and vague forms, and an overwhelming feeling of depression and despondency, all seeming to date back to the days when public hangings regularly took place at this doleful place. Much of the building is little changed and memories of the misery experienced here lingers in the air.
Again we lunch in an old Cornish inn sampling some of the traditional food and ales of the region . In the afternoon we again visit Bodmin Moor including Dozmary Pool where King Arthur is reputed to have thrown his sword Excalibur.
On our way home we shall visit the world famous Jamaica Inn high up on the moor and immortalised by Dame Daphne du Maurier when she used it as a setting for her well known novel of smuggling days. Various unexplained happenings have occurred here and the inn certainly has a brooding atmosphere .
We return to our accommodation for relaxing drinks and dinner before retiring to a good nights rest.

Never completed it  was abandoned about 1690 and fell into ruin. There are many ghostly tales of this property and there is a definite feeling of something supernatural in the air.
